Our Junior Captain, Kathy Scott, is co-ordinating the Wicklow Community Response Volunteers for COVID19 Task Force. Many clubs in Wicklow have volunteered for their area and we are asking our adult members or adult members of junior parents who are available to volunteer in response to the needs of people in the Greystones community. This could be simply collecting shopping or prescriptions or running other necessary errands for people who are unable to do this for themselves at this time.
Doreen O’Reilly, our Lady Captain, is co-ordinating the Greystones LTC response. If you are available please send Doreen your mobile number and she will include you in this group. Doreen’s mobile is 086 2395599. You will be included in a What’s App group and where requests come in they are broadcast and whoever is available responds privately to Doreen. We realise that not everyone will be available every time, so obviously the more people we have the better.
This is a great opportunity to help those in need in our community. Well done to Kathy on what will be a very busy few weeks and we wish her all the best keeping our community safe.
