We are very proud to announce that Conor Woods is the overall winner of the Volunteer in Sport Award for Co Wicklow. Conor was nominated by the Club in recognition of his tireless dedication and commitment to Greystones Lawn Tennis Club over many years. In nominating Conor in 2020 we particularly want to recognise and thank Conor for what he has done for tennis in our club especially in the last year by :
- managing the installation 6 brand new courts,
- ensuring the club met the Covid guidelines so that we could all play our favourite sport,
- preparing the clubhouse for the arrival of the students of Greystones Community College,
- being a constant source of enthusiasm for all things tennis!
The Volunteers in Sport Awards are run by the Federation of Irish Sport and this is the first time they have been awarded since 2014. Conor will be representing the Club at the Volunteers in Sport Awards ceremony on Tuesday 12 January and everyone is invited to attend the virtual ceremony and celebrate Conor’s achievement.
