Monday Night Social tennis is the best way to get to know club members while playing a Social game of mixed doubles tennis. Aimed at new and existing club members it brings all levels of tennis together for the benefit and most importantly, enjoyment of everybody attending. Running every Monday night through-out the year from 8.00 to 10.00, with very few exceptions. Check-in is at 7.50pm upstairs in the bar area, where partners and courts will be assigned. Every Half hour thereafter a new draw for partners and courts will take place on the courts. The nominal charge for playing is only €1.oo, the funds raised go towards prizes on our awards nights where everybody’s a winner. The funds also cover the costs of or Pizza nights which have proved to be very popular with players.
One of the oldest cups in the club “The Butler Cup” is contested for during Monday Night Social Tennis, this is a very friendly non-competitive event. Points are awarded for attendance and extra points can be earned by helping organise each evening.
